Deep Creek Retreat

Experience the joy of staying in an off grid solar powered house. This modern light filled 2 bedroom house with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres. Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, olive grove, orchard, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck and the garden beyond or the stars above. Enjoy the hot water outdoor shower under the sun or stars. (yes, we do also have an indoor shower) Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos and the occasional echidna through the floor to ceiling picture window. There is also a resident family of hares. A short drive to Morgans Beach at Cape Jervis, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches. Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga and Parsons Beaches along Range Rd to Victor Harbor. Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree in the carpark growing near the carpark. Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays. We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.

Built in 1887, Tilly's Cottage is a beautifully renovated home blending historic charm with modern comforts. Come and relax at 'Taronga' - a five minute walk to Carrickalinga’s pristine beach - one of SA’s most beautiful stretches of coast. Our home is large and well-appointed - it offers space, privacy and all creature comforts. There's a slow combustion fire for the cooler months (we provide wood ), a fully equipped kitchen, multiple lounge areas, outdoor eating/deck with Webber BBQ, a dedicated TV room, 2 bathrooms, and a laundry. You'll also find free WIFI, board games, books and table tennis!

Experience the natural beauty of Kangaroo Island, with bush and ocean views from the deck and a 10minute walk to the pristine town beach. Enjoy visits from kangaroos, wallabies, Glossy Black Cockatoos and the occasional echidna. The house itself is unique and thoughtfully styled with quality furnishings and artwork to reflect the colours of the picturesque surrounds. Come relax and enjoy island life!

We strive to provide a relaxing stay, with your furry friends welcome , you are in for a stay like no other and won't want to leave! The house is a short 2 minute walk to the pristine sands of Carrickalinga Beach and opposite a reserve for family/pets to enjoy. We can't wait to welcome you into our home!
