Mimis kleines Paradies (eigentlich eher riesig) hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Die Bilder auf Airbnb sind schon toll, aber in der Realität, ist das Anwesen noch viel schöner! Die Architektur ist beeindruckend. Haus, Garten und Pool bilden eine perfekte Einheit. Überall gibt es schöne Plätze die zum verweilen einladen. Wir waren zu siebt auf Sri Lanka Tour und der krönende Abschluss, waren die 4 Nächte in Mimis Haus. Dank Kapila, Manjula und Raja konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genießen und einfach nur entspannen! Die drei Herren sind super freundlich, liebenswert und hilfsbereit. Manjula hat uns landestypisch bekocht, köstlich, authentisch und nur ein kleines bisschen scharf. Zum Glück. Vielen vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Chathura’s place is very close to the beach around 8 mnts walking from turtle beach , the famous Hikkaduwa beach is also within walking proximity . The AC can keep you cool in summer & they have kitchen along with basic equipment’s as well . Size of room is decent enough . Free Washing machine is a big plus point , they provide detergent as well. Now the Host Chathura is an amazing fellow , He is a great host with super supportive nature , he greets us with cinnamon Tea & provide all necessary information about the vicinity. He also gave 5% discount for the Water Jars . The biggest Pros I would say is His smile & helping nature as a host . I would definitely recommend him with blind 👁️.

une villa parfaite, avec une situation parfaite juste quelques mètres de l'océan et de la ville et d'un quartier bien agréable l'accueil et le suivi par Irish est formidable et parfait. cette villa permet un repos profond et à des qualités top allez y sans retenue car elle vous permet d'être comme chez vous avec en plus une petite rue hyper calme restaurant à côté familial et prêt à toujours rendre service ( challenge hut) piscine impeccable et une eau parfaite si nous pouvions m'être 10 étoiles, nous le ferrions avec sincérité. 👌👍👏

Nayan's villa is even more beautiful than on the photos! The view over the beach and palmtrees is fantastic and the pool water is warm enough at all times of the day. We appreciated the various outdoor seating spaces as well as inside under the fan. It's very quiet & private apart from occasional fishermen trucks working on the beach. We have also really enjoyed the caretaker Martinez who tended to our needs every day, including bringing us coconut. We also made use of Pradeep's cooking and enjoyed having local food delivered every day to us to the villa. There was also lots of attention to detail, including beautiful flowers around the house and a fresh water tank, so that we wouldn't have to buy water in advance. Shower gel and shampoo was provided. We experienced a power cut once in the week we stayed for around 4hrs. Battery powered lamps and fans are provided for this case. Thank you Nayan, Martinez and Pradeep for a fantastic holiday! We can definitely recommend this place!

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

We had a Honey moon and New Year in Akain villa. The villa is situated very close to the ocean. We prefer to see sunsets at the beach. The owners are very kind and friendly people. They help us, brought everything what we need. In the eve of New Year Candy and Lakmina organized unforgettable beach party with national food and fireworks for their guests! There is 20 minutes to the fish market by foot. Every Saturday there is the market not far from the villa. We have wonderful time in this house.

True local experience! Dinner was awesome, and the view from the top deck was a delight, plenty of birds,squirrels and monkeys to watch. Excellent value for money. Please note that the location on the map is incorrect - the property is further up and took me about 7-8 minutes to walk to the beach. Own transport would be ideal in this location - I had difficulties with PickMe but kindly the host would source me a tuktuk from the village :)

We have just got home after our trip to the Tropical Beach House in Hikkaduwa. What a totally lovely time away. Great communication with Gavin prior to the visit and out in touch with Darmith (house keeper) and taxi transport for arrival. We arrived at 2am to be met by Darmith and Saji (security) and felt at home straight away. Darmith had collected fridge essentials before we arrived so we were set up for the following morning. The house and gardens are lovely, the sound of the ocean 24/7 is just perfect and the house was spotlessly clean with good facilities. Sangrita helped to provide us with Sri Lankan breakfast foods, loved the Dahl curry and the hoppers but also gave us an awesome Brit breakfast of eggs and bacon! Chandra was on hand at night to cook a bbq which was tasty and varied. We used Tuk tuks to get out and about during our stay which were easy to find. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. Lots of local bars and eateries along the beach or further into Hikkaduwa.

We had an incredible three-night stay at Sahan’s villa in Weligama—honestly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect: just a short walk or quick tuk tuk ride to amazing surf spots and great restaurants. The villa itself is stunning, with a beautiful pool that was perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The interiors were spotless and thoughtfully designed. The air-conditioning worked perfectly (a real bonus in the Sri Lankan heat), the beds were large and super comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern, clean, and luxurious. Housekeeping was top-notch throughout our stay, and the check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been smoother. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay in Weligama.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft. Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist beeindruckend und bietet viel Platz. Direkt vom Pool aus kann man zum Meer gehen und die Ruhe am Strand genießen. Im Meer baden kann man leider nicht, da die Strömung zu stark ist, allerdings hat uns das überhaupt nicht gestört, da es den Pool gibt und wenn man möchte kann man in ca 1km Entfernung im Meer baden gehen. Dort haben wir auch Schildkröten gesehen! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

This was a one night stay for us but it was our favorite stay. First of all, the parking space was perfect and roomy unlike other apartments. The caretaker took us up personally to the apartment. The entire apartment was decorated beautifully. 3 air conditioners worked flawlessly. fridge, microwave, and a big TV. The bathroom is a bit small but perfectly clean. there are a few stains on the couch and bed cover I found in the wardrobe.

The location was perfect, we enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby and it's very close to the beach. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We cannot recommend Dilan and his property highly enough.

Wunderschön renovierte Villa direkt an einem einsamen Strand gelegen. Nach hinten raus somit mehr als großartig .Wenn man bis zu Nase in den Pool eintaucht ,verschmilzt dieser mit dem dahinter gelegenen Meer 🤍.Sie liegt aber direkt an einer Straße und wenn man im Garten ist ,hört man dieses auch.(Hat uns aber nicht sonderlich gestört.Bei uns hatte aber ein Geschäft auf der anderen Seite eröffnet und der beschallte uns einen Tag mit vielleicht etwas lauter Musik 🙈) Wir nutzten die Villa am Ende unserer Reise um etwas zu entspannen. Daher ideal für uns gelegen und somit nicht schlimm,dass die Gegend touristisch nicht ganz so erschlossen ist. Morgens wir ein inkludiertes Villa Frühstück angeboten und wir hatten Barbecue und Curry bestellen können. Die Jungs waren immer extrem freundlich und quasi auf „Knopfdruck“für uns da.Sie sprachen zwar kaum Englisch ,dafür war der Manager der Villa ,Sampath,immer per Handy erreichbar und extrem hilfsbereit. Wir können die Villa sehr empfehlen .

Das Haus, der Garten einfach traumhaft! Die Küche ist etwas klein, aber alles da, was man so braucht. Der "Gärtner " hat für uns am Abend mal was gekocht, super lecker. Die beiden Wachhünde😂, zwei liebe anständige Schmuser, haben uns jeden Tag freudig begrüßt, unsere Kinder wie auch wir hatten mit den beiden richtig Freude.

Located in Rekawa beach (near Ranna) about 10km from Tangalle, this isolated, oceanfront villa is the perfect getaway - I can't recommend it enough! The pictures do not do this place justice. Hans was responsive and helpful. The house staff were attentive and hospitable and we took advantage of paying for local food and having the staff cook for us during our three night stay - an incredible value based on local restaurant prices (and yummy too!). There is a restaurant closeby if you prefer that. The house is very large; the back yard and pool area spectacular; and the beach access great. You can also have the staff schedule multiple day trips to surrounding areas so this is a great base for exploring the southern coast. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa, located right on the serene and picturesque Talpe Beach. The calm, crystal-clear waters were perfect for calm bathing, and we were lucky enough to spot massive turtles every morning! We loved the option of cooking for ourselves, and the fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The vibrant markets in Galle, just a 15-minute drive away, offered an incredible variety of fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables, which was a real treat. If you prefer, Anjalee, the lovely housekeeper, is also available to cook you breakfast. The villa was impeccably clean, and the communication with Jack was seamless and clear from start to finish. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Wir (drei Erwachsene) haben 6 Nächte im Strandhaus in Matara verbracht und waren begeistert. Nach Stationen in Kandy, Hatton und Ella war diese Unterkunft das Highlight unserer Reise. Mitten in der Natur gelegen, bietet sie einen traumhaften tropischen Garten, eine private Atmosphäre, eine Terrasse und einen kleinen Pool mit Meerblick. Am Ende des Gartens: eine Schaukel mit Zugang zum Meer – dort konnten wir sogar beobachten, wie Baby-Schildkröten ins Wasser gelassen wurden! Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Gute Cafés, Restaurants und traumhafte Strände mit Schildkröten sind in der Nähe. Absolute Empfehlung – wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

De beste plek tot nu toe in Sri Lanka! De kamer, keuken en badkamer zijn ruim, zeer schoon en fijn ingedeeld. Je hebt een warme douche en wc papier. Koelkast en vriezer werken goed. Je hebt een plekje om lekker te zitten en te eten. Het bed ligt comfortabel en de klamboe is goed! De familie is heel aardig. Je voelt je erg thuis. Locatie is naar ons idee ook perfect. Minuut lopen naar het eerste strand. Je kan er lekker op ligbedjes liggen en een kokosnoot bestellen (etc). Stukje verderop is schildpadden strand, wat leuk is om naartoe te gaan. Je kan fietsen huren, dan kan je ook naar andere strandjes of de omgeving verkennen. Al met al: een echte aanrader!!

Some of the reviews here made me second guess my booking, but you can't always rely on what you read. That said I LOVED my stay here, it was heaven on earth literally ON the beach. I am traveling through SL solo and this place was a dream, Ravi was so helpful and accommodating, he and I got along very well, (yes he is a bit rough around the edges) but you can't always judge a book by its cover. Ravi went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Erich was amazing as well, his communicaiton was excellent, very responsive. Points: Make sure you discuss price upfront before anything. My only complaint is that Ravi had a bag of laundry done for me and the next day charged me $40 USD!!!! I was floored. I had two bags of laundry done a few days later for $6.50 USD wishing you both all the success ( I have already told 3 people to book with you when they get down South) I hope they do!

We recently stayed at this stunning villa and couldn’t be more impressed. Waking up to this breathtaking view every morning was such a pleasure The villa itself was very stylish, and has all the necessities for a good stay, including even some funniest like boarding games :) It is very good located closento Welligama and Ahangama (5-10 minutes drive with Tuk Tuk), right close to the outstanding restaurant the Cliff. The host was very responsive and helpful with all our questions We had a very good time there and would definitely like to come back and soak this energy again

Największym atutem tego miejsca jest lokalizacja oraz gospodarz, który jest bardzo pomocny. Jeżeli nie chcecie turystów na każdym kroku a raczej poznać lokalnych mieszkańców to idealne miejsce. Blisko targ z rybami a w soboty duży targ warzyw i owoców, parę minut tuk tuk w stronę Galle. Budynek składa się z mieszkania na dole oraz na piętrze. Piętro to 3 sypialnie w tym dwie z widokiem na ocean oraz kuchnia ze stołem. Na dole jest podobnie. Duża grupa osób ma budynek dla siebie. Teren wokół domu jest zadbany. Rano słychać przypływających rybaków, ale jest to element uroku tego miejsca. Woda przy posesji jest bezpieczna z uwagi na małą zatokę, po prawej stronie sporo płycizny, miejsce dobre do nauki pływania na desce. Jeżeli szukacie idealnej ciszy to tu jej nie znajdziecie jeżeli chcecie poznać prawdę o tym miejscu Sri Lanki to dobrze traficie. My zakochaliśmy się w tym miejscu pełnym dźwięków i życia wśród lokalnej społeczności.

Our two families had a lovely stay at Clipper Villa. Dom was the perfect host and his staff were so attentive and helpful. Dom's local recommendations were fantastic and we had great meals and days out based on them. I would highly recommend staying here. The highlight for the kids was the pool.
