I am English staying with young family.. 6 of us a laf minute booking. Much to appreciate from RUPUL as a Barrister at the Bar in Kandy/Colombo and country’s high Courts . I’m a forever returning visitor. The sitting room so stylish and crammed with not just law material! The breakfast was excellent and very accommodating for taking 2nd one with is to sight see early. Strongly recommend for large families. As place and tranquility yo self. Peaceful only hearing the nature I thank you and your wife Upil and obliging staff)Muhindera(sp) Loose U.K. family Sri Lankan

Unser Aufenthalt war rundum gelungen! Der Gastgeber war äußerst höflich und jederzeit ansprechbar. Wenn wir etwas benötigten, konnten wir ihn unkompliziert über Chat Nachricht kontaktieren – er antwortete meist sofort und kümmerte sich schnell um unsere Anliegen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass er uns am Abreisetag zu einem fairen Preis mit dem Auto zur nächsten Unterkunft gebracht hat. Die Zimmer waren schön eingerichtet, die Außenanlage liebevoll und ansprechend gestaltet. Insgesamt eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre – wir können diese Unterkunft eindeutig weiterempfehlen!

Rien à redire ! J’ai passé un séjour magnifique dans ce petit have de paix ! L’hôte était d’une gentillesse incroyable ! L’emplacement est dans un lieu calme où vous vous endormirez avec le bruit des vagues ! Le lieu était magnifique ! J’ai beaucoup apprécié les vélos à disposition pour découvrir les environs ! Les petits déjeunes sont excellents et très copieux ! Je recommande vivement ce logement si vous êtes de passage dans le sud !

on ne va pas chez Senaka par hasard l'accès étant reculé mais très proche du Knukles peak. les paysages sont magnifiques. Le dîner est tres bon mais peut-être un peu cher. Le petit déjeuner est super copieux et de qualité. La personne qui nous a accueilli était aux petits soins, thé, petits gateaux, bananes, elle nous a même préparé un sandwich pour notre randonnée. Encore merci pour notre séjour

We had a really nice time! The two Cabins are perfect for two couples. From there you can reach the ancient part of Polonnaruwa very easily. Also you have a nice view on the Lake!

Staying at Lakmali's place in Runakanda Forest is definitely one of my top 5 favorite places in Sri Lanka. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay there, especially with my mom, as it was her first time in Sri Lanka,and she absolutely loved every moment of it! The food was beyond incredible! Each meal was showcasing the rich and flavorful Sri Lankan cuisine. The peaceful and serene surroundings of the forest made it the perfect escape. It’s a truly tranquil place where we could relax, and the location was just ideal for enjoying authentic local experiences. We had the chance to pick tea just a short walk away from the cottage, a unique experience that we’ll never forget. We also had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people, and the warm hospitality made our stay feel special. My mom and I both agreed that it was a stay we’ll cherish forever. I can’t recommend Lakmali’s place highly enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic, and unforgettable experience in SL !

I could not have wished for a better place to land in the culture of Sri Lanka. Agapi Villa, truly lives up to its name: love. The loving attention that this place is created with is felt within every detail. The shower is fantastic, the kitchen has all you need to create a home-cooked meal. The bicylcle I could borrow added a lot of value to my experience. Cycling through the country side, along the ocean and to the near by city made me able to really feel as if I was taking part in the Sri Lankan life. To meet Christina, Keshan and their family and get to peek into the life they are living; a full devotion to care for the street dogs in Sri Lanka, truly left an Imprint in my heart. As well as their heart warming presence and genuine care and help during my stay. If you are wish to experience Sri lanka in an authentic way, away from the mass tourist and find yourself at one of the beaches that make you feel as if you are inside of a post-card, this is the place for you to be!

I booked this bnb when I visited my family in Sri Lanka. I needed a place that looked like my home for several days until my home renovation was complete. This listing was perfect since it was within walking distance of the Pelawatta junction. I bet anyone who is visiting the Overseas International School would greatly appreciate this location since it is a short walk away. The property manager/caretaker was extremely polite and very responsive. I liked the layout of the house. The bedroom downstairs was perfect for my parents while the kids and I had it upstairs. The kitchen and the dining area were a daily hangout place where we would sit down and chat for hours, a very cozy and homely place. Enjoyed my stay and made my visit to Sri Lanka even better! thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Catherine’s cottage. Location was good; walkable to the beach. It is hard to fully explain just how spacious the cottage is - every room is large and well thought out, even the outside veranda is enormous. The children loved the little pool, it was absolutely perfect to end our Sri Lankan adventure. Thank you.

I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s and this may be my favorite. It’s serene, right in nature, yet extremely comfortable. They get me anything I need, food, water, etc. The bed is comfy, the middle glass room is my favorite, to write and meditate and stare at the eagles. The kitchen has everything you need. This place is perfect if you want an escape. If you want time to just be with yourself and loved ones. I feel really blessed to have found this space. It’s exactly what I needed for this point in my life. 5 stars across the board. I hope you get to experience the magic of this Airbnb.

this Airbnb is an excellent stay that's perfect for a safari trip. The cottage is exceptionally clean and comfortable, and Hasith is a brilliant host. The food was excellent and he catered to our every needs. we would absolutely recommend this cottage for anyone visiting Udawalawe.

An amazing location with very friendly and responsive hosts! They are doing a lot to protect the local landscape (especially turtles) and are knowledgeable about the area!

Quel séjour merveilleux nous avons passé chez Erich qui est un hôte particulièrement sympathique et généreux. Nous avons d ailleurs prolongé notre séjour d une semaine tellement le lieu était magique, confortable car décoré avec soin. Un emplacement de rêve entre deux superbes plages de sable fin. L appartement est paisible et permet la vie privée. La cuisine équipée nous a vite rendus autonomes pour les repas, La salle de bain est agréable avec de l eau chaude, La chambre confortable et bien aérée. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Erich le propriétaire ainsi que par ses assistants locaux Sanjula et Chamika. Tous ont été attentionnés et disponibles. La relation était très agréable. La maison est située dans un petit village au cœur duquel vous échangez avec joie des salutations accompagnées de grands sourires avec les habitants accueillants. Je recommande cet appartement authentique à ceux qui apprécient de passer des vacances au Sri Lanka, loin de la foule touristique.

Excellent séjour, la maison est parfaite beaucoup de charme très agréable à vivre. C’était au delà de nos espérances. Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Cependant, nous restons un peu déçu car l’extension derrière la maison (avec piscine, cuisine extérieure, cabane dans les arbres et brasero) casse le charme authentique de la Yellow house originel. Nous avions choisis ce logement pour son authenticité et son côté local mais l’extension ajoutée par la suite rend le logement « typique » pour les touristes, ce qui est surprenant par rapport à l’atmosphère du lieu. De plus, les deux maisons sont communicantes donc chaque espaces ne sont pas clairement définis. Nous n’avons pas eu de problème sur ce point car les autres guest étaient très discret. Cependant, un peu dommage que certains espaces communs soient partagés (ex : le jardin devant la Yellow house). Pour finir, la Yellow house originel (sans piscine) est superbe et vaut vraiment le coup si vous recherchez un logement de caractère !
