This house was built by Captain George W. Cook in early 1800s. He was the Captain of a merchant sailing vessel called the Jed F. Duren. a large vessel at 112 tons. Two of Captain George W Cook's original navigation maps are mounted in the house. The home is reminiscent of days of sea and sail. The house is really cool and the waterfront and sunrise views are amazing! This century home meets today's standards of comfort and safety. It is now owned by a Captain Parker - a local lobster fisherman.

The Whale cottage is private and sits on a cliff overlooking the water. The cottage also has great outdoor spaces with an attached screened in room, attached open deck and a screened in gazebo located on a lower cliff overlooking the water with open decks. Harmony Cottage was the estate's guest house. There is a large living/dining room with a fireplace, smart TVs, and comfortable seating. The kitchen has all appliances (stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, fridge), and is equipped with dishes and pots. There is a private deck and large semi-fenced yard. The second floor has two bedrooms with AC and queen size beds. One room has an additional single bed as well. The bathroom has the original claw-foot tub and a full-size washer/dryer.
