Nestled among old heritage gardens on 5 acres near Morpeth in the Hunter Valley, this gorgeous cottage is part of the Berry House Estate built in 1857. Cosy up and unwind, or explore the broader Hunter Valley. The self contained cottage (converted servants quarters), is your own little oasis within the broader grounds of Berry House. Use the pool and sauna, explore the gardens, collect some farm fresh eggs, feed the sheep or just chill. Delightful spot for kids with friendly cat and two dogs.

'The Ballast' Riverfront Retreat

This newly renovated unit boasts unobstructed views across Newcastle’s working harbor and the beautiful Ballast grounds. Includes Queen-sized bed and ensuite, with shampoo, conditioner and all linen provided. This is a beautiful little self contained bungalow located at the back of my house. You will have everything you need for a comfortable and unique stay in this (EXTREMELY!) light-filled space. All the windows are leadlight and the soaring window at the front (from a 100 year old church in the Hunter Valley) adds to the distinctive charm. You will have your own access. You can park in the driveway or on the street (unrestricted on weekends and after hours. Otherwise its a 2hr limit from 9am-5pm)

Located in Carrington, close to the water, there is easy access to the CBD. This suburb has a great village feel and you can walk to shops, cafes, bakery, pubs and restaurants. Public transport is a 2 minute walk to catch bus into CBD which only is a 5 min ride.

Stockton is a peninsular located just north of the City of Newcastle. Nanny's Beachside Cottage is centrally located with only minutes walk to the beach, Bowling Club, RSL Club and one of three local Hotels. Access to Newcastle CBD is a 20 minute drive or via a short passenger ferry ride (3 minutes) which is only ten minutes walk from Nanny's Beachside Cottage.
