Our family and I had a wonderful stay at Jackies, we are all originally from maine, and her home gives you everything great about maine. We really felt at home, it snowed christmas eve which made it even more beautiful ( The driveway was plowed out early as well). I brought a small christmas tree with us on our trip up, and when we walked in, the place was decorated for christmas, which was just amazing and so thoughtful. We definitly plan on staying again, the next time we are back in maine. Thank you again Jackie!

This place is a gem! Anthony was a wonderful, friendly host. The property was clean, modern, and spacious. Remote enough to feel like you've escaped, but close enough to necessary amenities (like groceries), and just under and hour drive to Acadia National Park! Wouldn't hesitate to consider rebooking for a trip in the future!

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful restored farm house with enough room for 4 adults and 3 kids for a family getaway! We were able to cook dinners with a very well equipped kitchen and enjoy the fire pit in the backyard with incredible sunsets. Our kids loved the hike to the river on the property and our family really enjoyed spending a day at the Coastal botanical gardens which was only a few minutes drive away from the house!

A group of us stayed at Camp Lamoine and were impreased with this property! It was close to Acadia National Park and other areas we decided to go. Spectacular yard and even had a place for a campfire! Comfortable inside and would stay again. Thanks!

Exactly what we needed, Fully recharged after a long peaceful weekend. Watching the Fishermen and Water Foul was a great way to waste a day. The cottage was warm and homey, stocked with more than enough. Thank You for sharing your Beautiful spot.

We had the most amazing stay at this gorgeous property. The owners were super helpful and friendly and gave us lots of local recommendations. They gave us a welcome basket too which was a lovely touch. We would love to come back again one day.

This was a lovely place to stay for our visit to Maine to see the fall colors and Acadia for the first time. Beautiful secluded location, cheaper than staying in Bar Harbor but still easy access to both the national park and Bar Harbor. Comfortable and looked exactly liked the photos.

Beautiful and cozy place and very responsive and accommodating host. Place is 30 mins drive from bar harbor and Acadia . The river down the house is an additional beauty in its own. The place had everything you need. The care the host took for arranging everything is really appreciated.

This was our second stay at the Cottrell House. The location can’t be beat. It’s nestled off the main street with access to the river while within easy walking to stores and restaurants. The apartment is quiet and clean. Lissette is a wonderful host.

The place was amazing, such a great find! The hosts laid out check-in and check-out instructions very clearly and offered an abundance of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered toiletries, tide pods, cooking spices, coffee, books- the list could really go on and on. It really felt like a home away from home! Thank you to our wonderful hosts, we hope to visit again!!

This a beautiful spot! Tucked away from the roads and very quiet. The private lake access is great and the views are beautiful. So thankful we found this place!

Nancy greeted us warmly upon arrival, making us feel instantly welcome. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking and offers thoughtful touches like muffins, coffee, tea, and bottled water. Prices are extremely reasonable. The space was exceptionally clean, spacious, and well-stocked with extra blankets, pillows, and bath linens. We will definitely stay at Nancy’s again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Pittsfield area.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay. It was my son’s wedding and I loved being able to come back from the activities to rest and relax . It was very homey.

The cabin was beautiful and very clean. We had a regular wear and tear issue with one of the appliances but the issue was resolved quickly and the hosts went above and beyond to make the inconvenience right. Overall the stay was relaxing and well worth it. I would definitely return to this cabin.

The cabin was exactly as described. The cabin had everything we needed for our four night stay while we visited family in the area, very quaint and quiet. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their dogs. They gave us the heads up of possibly adding more cabins which interested us. We have a large family and would love to return to the Knotty Pine Trailside Cabin complex and rent out a few for the whole family. Great place to stay.

We loved staying at the cabin! It was 2 adults and one infant, and we had plenty of space to setup a pack n play for the baby to sleep. It was very clean, even for such an old cabin. The heat worked good since it was still cold in April. Lisa came over to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, super friendly. It’s perfect for a short stay with a small family/couple. Just remember to bring your own towels :) The front porch with the rocking chairs is awesome as well. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Skowhegan area!

Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful area and fantastic host! We had fun playing at the arcade and walking around the camp groups/lake!

A great private place to stay when visiting Acadia! Only about 40 minutes away from Bar Harbor.

We had a freaking BLAST at the Roxie tiny cabin. It is extremely admirable how much fun Sherri and Joel have managed to pack into a small space without making it feel cluttered or crowded at all. We loved using the two hammock chairs, cooking over the fire (so many great cooking tools here!) and slept great. Getting to paddleboard around the lake to see turtles and other wildlife was an added plus. I am now addicted to axe throwing as well :) great spot run by wonderful people
