Welcome to our peaceful escape location. Just 60 minutes from Wellington, your private suite overlooks Lake Wairarapa and is surrounded by farmland, bush and lake views and includes your own private spa and gardens - a perfect place to escape, gaze at the night sky, and relax. Single nights available Sunday-Thursday, no cleaning fees, a light breakfast is included, and a kitchenette and covered BBQ are available. Wairarapa, Gladstone, Gobbler Country Cottage

Our tranquil, rural Gladstone cottage has gorgeous views of farmland and native bush from the sunny verandah. Enjoy the a wine from our nearby local vineyards and a BBQ outside in Summer and the warmth of a logfire inside during Winter. A 3 minute drive to the Gladstone Inn for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and 20 mins to either Masterton, Greytown or Martinborough. We also have a 6 hole golf course available (seasonally) onsite for our guests to enjoy, golf clubs for hire for a round or two.

Provence French Cottage - a Wairarapa retreat.

Wonderful eco-sustainable French style cottage built of stone and native timber with picturesque views of the river valley and mountains. Near to Carterton, Greytown and Masterton. Drink pure artesian spring water while listening to abundant birds and sitting on your veranda. Go for a bush walk in the National Park across the river, go biking, play golf - or visit the vineyards and restaurants for a vibrant time. This is an adventure escape that is close to the vibrant Wairarapa 'good life'!

Longforde Cottage

Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

The View

On a plateau overlooking the Ruamahanga river valley is our cosy two bedroom fully self contained cottage. The views are jaw dropping, backdropped by the Tararua Ranges. On the river flats below, summer crops form a patchwork of different colours. Above, the big sky can be an endless blue or filled with rolling banks of cloud and truly spectacular sunsets. At night the wondrous canopy of stars is why the region is an official International Dark Sky Reserve. It’s all utterly peaceful.

The house for all seasons, occasions and ages. Double glazed with new thermal curtains. Heat pump and log burner in downstairs living room and heatpump in upstairs bedroom to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. The grounds are spacious and private. Great for playing games, BBQ and evening drinks on the sun-drenched deck or in front of the outdoor fireplace. Toys, board games, bikes and sports equipment are provided. Fully fenced. Prior approval for pets is required ($20 per stay)

A world away from the world -Just 5 mins from Greytown. Situated on a small organic farm in a beautiful garden. Super comfy bed, stylish, mid century decor. Wake up to birdsong, star-gaze from the outside bath while listening to the call of the Ruru. Loll by the pool or borrow the bikes to go exploring. Free breakfast of good coffee, homemade muesli & fruit, artisan bread and spreads. Free-range eggs & bacon available for you to cook for $25 pp. Drive on parking, heat pump, wifi & tv.

White shed, modern rustic

Our rural shed is a spacious self-contained getaway with sun and views of the surrounding countryside. It is best suited for 2 guests, but can accomodate 4, with a queen size bed upstairs and a fold-out sofa in the living room. A fold out bed is available for children. We stock the kitchenette with free range eggs, locally made bread, homemade jam, butter, milk, tea and coffee. There’s a BBQ available. We’re 5 minutes walk to the Carterton shops and near the railway station.

The Hut

The hut is a beautifully crafted off the grid cabin located located on a sheep and beef farm, Daisybank, just minutes out of Martinborough . Open the doors right up on a nice day and enjoy the fresh air or cozy up with a blanket on the couch in front of the fire when the weather makes you want to bunker down. The outdoor bath is the icing on the cake to allow you to take in the views while relaxing in the tub

Taraview Cottage

Taraview Cottage is set in beautiful rural surroundings but only 2kms from Greytown village. The half acre section is fully fenced so it is safe for children or your dog to run about on. The cottage is fully equipped and all the linen is supplied. Taraview is spacious and sleeps 4 people and kept warm with a woodburner with plenty of wood. Minimum of 2 night stay..
