St. George Street is full of good food, quaint shops and historical sights. It can be busy on the weekends and hot during the summer. Wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water. However, there are plenty of places to get out of the heat and clean public restrooms in various places. There is metered parking and garage parking available for a fee.

St. Augustine, founded in September 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles of Spain, is the longest continually inhabited European-founded city in the United States – more commonly called the "Nation's Oldest City." There is so much to do downtown, that you just have to get down there and check it out. There is fine dining to dive bars, and everything in between.
