Fun place to swim in the river when it's hot out. Terrific hiking trails, very family friendly place to go for a day trip.

Try this 7.60 mile, loop trail near Gresham, Oregon. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 3 h 29 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, walking, and other nature trips, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are April through September. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

Oxbow is a beautiful park located on the Sandy River. It has picnic areas, play structures, and hiking trails. If you get there early enough, you'll probably see some deer.
