Sand Harbor State Park on the Eastshore Nevada side of the lake offers very popular sandy beaches, crystal-clear water and interesting rock formations for a great day outing with swimming, kayaking and sunbathing. Boats for water-skiers and fisherman can easily launch from one of the park’s two ramps. Plan to leave early though because the parking lot fills quickly in the summer months. The park also hosts the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival every summer.

Perfect beach for all Lake Tahoe visitors. I recommend getting there a bit early during our busy season just to get parking.

Love this area. Get there early if you want a parking spot. The lots tend to fill up pretty quickly. Beautiful spot to swim and relax. There's also a cafe.
