It's a small replica of Saint Peter's in Rome! Both outside and inside... and much closer than the real thing. And as you've enjoyed my suggestion of visiting the Underground City, it's conveniently located near the end of my suggested way.

This cathedral is seat of the archdiocese. It's a 1/4 size replica of Saint Peter's basilica in Rome, and contains interesting colonial Quebecois historical paintings. Free entry and not touristy (as opposed to the Notre-Dame basilica)

The Catholic Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, east of Place du Canada, was built in 1894 as a smaller version of St. Peter's in Rome. The massive statues represent the patron saints of the Archbishopric of Montréal in the 19th century. A series of paintings by Georges Delfosse retell Montréal's tumultuous history.
