It can be tricky to find a seat, so be prepared to wait - especially on a Saturday morning - but smashed Avo (avocado on toast) is as Melbourne as it comes, and the one at Batch is worth the wait.

Great atmosphere and yummy food. There are plenty of equally good alternatives further along Carlisle Street though if you can't get in...
