The best place to buy bottles to take home. With thousands of brands sorted by region, the shop has lots of choices from all of the prefectures that produce shochu and awamori, Okinawa’s even stronger rice spirit. There’s always at least one certified shochu expert on hand. You won’t pay much here—rarely over ¥1,500 for a decent 720 mL bottle. The shop often pours free samples of whichever brands they’re pushing that week, so make sure to have a few sips before buying something.

新橋・汐留 Shinbashi Shidome Gate of Tokyo Bay Shinbashi has a public image of a platform for so-called salary-man (male office workers). Hundreds of casual and reasonable izalaya are open until late hours. When you see a drunk salary-man interviewed on TV, that’s propably as Shinabashi. Walking through Shinbashi will lead you to a stylish city of Shiodome. Tall buildings make up the city of great night view of restaurants in high floor buildings. Explorethe starting point of Tokyo Bay cruising. Feel the different seasons at the Hamarikyu Garden, a famous Japanese garden near the ocean.
