This is the famous Bregenzer Festspiele, as seen in the James Bond movie (Quantum of Solace). This outdoor theater is really one of a kind and you must get tickets very early in advance to attend. It is only happening during the peak summer months and the tickets aren't cheap... but if you want a unique theater experience, Bregenz is less than an hour away! You can also visit the city of Bregenz... it is right along the lake, the first city you get to right after the Austrian border. Small tip: When you drive to Austria, you need to buy a Vignette at the border for the motorway. However, if you turn off the highway mode on your GPS, it is possible to get to Bregenz after crossing the border without getting on the highway... therefore saving the money on a Vignette! Another tip, if you don't want to drive, use your free Echt Bodensee Card that is included with the Sipplingen Kurtaxe and take the train for free to Lindau. Then you only need to buy a train ticket from Lindau to Bregenz, which is much cheaper than buying a train ticket from Sipplingen to Bregenz. And you can have a stopover in Lindau for a bit of sightseeing if you want!
