The arboretum is open daily from 7.30 to sunset. The arboretum is a scenic park with approx. 2000 species of shrubs and trees from all over the temperate zone of the northern and southern hemisphere. The visitor has the opportunity along small, green paths to get great aesthetic experiences in the beautiful groupings of vegetation and at the same time a lesson about the rich variety of nature. The plants are marked with name, age and origin. The arboretum was established in 1936 with the purpose of supporting teaching in forestry and horticultural botany. Today, it forms the physical framework around the Agricultural University's national and international research into the genetic resources of trees and shrubs. The arboretum serves as a study collection and delivers approx. 25,000 branches and twigs to support the teaching. In addition to teaching, the employees also handle dissemination activities in the form of guided tours. Dogs are not allowed. Contact: Phone: +45 35 33 15 00
