Located in the centre of the city, at the intersection of Imbabura and Panama Streets, this space highlights the cocoa activity that used to prevail in the region. It has fifteen rooms where you can enjoy samples of ancestral cultures, re-enactments of buccaneers and pirates, archaeological remains and various contents that are displayed in this heritage house. Visitors can discover the process, from planting, cultivation, harvesting and even the preparation of the chocolate bar. This museum aims to promote the identity of the city and to reaffirm that the origin of cocoa has been Ecuadorian for over four thousand years.
