Fantastic little area of native bush amongst the suburbs of Wellington. Great bird life too. Probably easiest to get there by car although it is also on a bus route.

Day walks around Otari Bush Reserve. See some of Wellingtons oldest trees. 600yr old Rimu. Great park with BBQ's and picnic areas.

Otari Native Botanic Garden and Wilton's Bush Reserve is the only public botanic garden in New Zealand dedicated solely to New Zealand native plants.

Great park and walking tracks all around Karori. Really good on a windy day as the bush is sheltered!
