This is a fab spot for coffee and cake following a gentle cycle along the fabulous Old Logging Way from Aviemore

Enjoy beautiful trails among ancient Caledonian pine trees. Great for walking or biking. Stop by the mesmerising Green Lochan for a picnic - and if you're brave, dip your toes in the very cold, but beautiful green water. The Pass of Ryvoan is a great circular walk - it's around 10 miles and you can visit a traditional bothy on-route. (Bothies are used by climbers and walkers to shelter in or stay overnight). You can park at the visitor centre (chargeable) where you'll find nice cafe, visitor information and toilets.

Only 7 miles on the ski road there is so much to see and do here. Loch Morlich for the beach and waterspouts. Some beautiful walks as well, you might spot a deer drinking from the Green Loch.

Stunning views of the Cairngorms over Loch Morlich. Hire a bike or walk the forest trails. Red squirrels, finish with a coffee in the Pinemartin Bar/Glenmore shop (on the right as coming from Aviemore). return by the scenic B970 and pass Ruthven Barracks.
