Great place to eat lunch are dinner when on an outing to see the swamp tours or Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. On Bayou des Familles, a lazy waterway home to many alligators, turtles, egrets and other wildlife which takes center stage as the restaurant’s design provides its diners with a natural picture show. They are located down the street from the park with a menu that features authentic representations of Cajun and Creole favorites such as Crawfish Etouffée, Seafood & Okra Gumbo, Seafood Platters and Turtle Soup and a signature dish of Alligator Stuffed Mushrooms with Alligator Sauce Piquant. Open 7days 11:30-9pm (as stated on their website)

A beautiful restaurant right on the bayou with five star rated New Orleans style food. Seafood, steaks and specialty dishes. You just can't go wrong with choosing this restaurant. It's our favorite!

Worth the drive, be sure to ask for a seat by the window. Watch boaters skim by on the bayou while you enjoy a 4 course cajun style meal. Jump on a boat after for a closer look at nature.
