Starts with a lovely hike through the forest before getting to the refuge. Beautiful views of the beach, mountains, and lighthouse. Bring a few bucks in cash to enter the refuge area.
Less than a mile hike to the beach from parking lot. There is a bit of a steep hill leading down to the beach but it is pretty short. Sandy Beach that leads West to the bluffs or East all the way to the lighthouse. Plenty of room to spread out away from others. Lots of bird wildlife to view from the lookout along the hike and from the beach. You can even see Mt Baker in the distance on a clear day.
