The vegetable garden of Capuchin monks hosts several and wonderful plant species and it gives the opportunity to visit the Botanical Museum inside the University Department of Earth Science. Tel 070652956 for visit.

Located downstream of the Buoncammino hill and west of the Roman Amphitheater (today it is accessed from Viale Merello), the Capuchin Garden was built in 1595 by the religious of the Order and was used for the cultivation of medicinal plants necessary for the nearby convent. Within the area, there are several roman cisterns, previously used, presumably, as quarries for the blocks necessary for the construction of the nearby Roman Amphitheater.
