Looking for a way to enjoy the town that's unique? Just south of the Ecola Creek Bridge at the far North end of town, this trail follows a bend of Ecola Creek, past wetlands and emerging at 2nd Street at the City Park. A gravel portion of the trail circles the ponds at the east end of 2nd Street and a south spur of the trail passes through a Spruce forest reserve. When the trail emerges from the forest reserve to the south, walkers can continue through a quiet neighborhood along South Elm Street and the trail continues where the road dead-ends, passing through woodlands and wetlands before emerging on East Gower Avenue near City Hall where a paved portion of the trail continues south, emerging on Spruce Street. By continuing to walk south on Spruce Street, walkers can connect to the Haystack Hill Trail at the end of Spruce Street.
