This is the name of the large rock that sits on top of Aldermans Hill overlooking Uppermill and Greenfield. Lots of easy walks up to Pots and pans but also some harder ones. It can be quite windy up there so depending on the time of year wrap up but the views are incredible.

One of our most beloved walks! Right on our doorstep, this is one walk you won’t want to miss. 1500ft up, you’ll have the best views ever and on a clear day you can see for 40 miles! You can continue the walk to Alderman which gives a mind-blowing view on a cliff edge of all the area’s reservoirs. We like to end by walking back down the hill to the Cross Keys Inn for a spot of lunch. Not a difficult walk at all, for all the family including small children. You’ll find more details on this walk in the in-house guest manual.
