Very close hiking trail! It is short, just a little over 3 miles of trails but really steep and challenging. Would not suggest to hike this trail after heavy rainfall. In the winter be sure to bundle up - strong winds blow at the top.

When you stay at House Mountain Retreat you will be looking right at House Mountain State Natural Area. We highly recommend you go for a little drive to check out this beautiful area. The hike is intermediate and ok for most people if you use the right trail. If you choose the left trail the hike is more advanced. House Mountain in the fall can't be beat!

Fairly strenuous, one mile hike to the top, but you are rewarded with wonderful views!
