Often referred to as the “marble temple” in guidebooks, this architectural gem features a magnificent Buddha image, which is a copy of the highly revered Phra Buddhajinaraja, and a beautiful beamed ceiling in a dark red and gold.
Wat Benchamabophit is also known as the Marble Temple. It was built during the reign of King Rama the Fifth. This master piece consists of a lavish exterior wall with a courtyard made of Italian Marble (hence the name "Marble Temple"). It also has a well kept garden and an impressive replica of the Buddha in Wat Mahathat in Phitsanulok.
