A must see fortress island. Take the ferry from Kauppatori, regular buss ticket will do. Take warm clothing, it's always chillier there than on the mainland. This is why it's full on a hot day!
Suomenlinna was inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991 to preserve it for future generations as an example of 18th century fortress architecture in Europe.
If it's warm and sunny, take the ferry from market square to Suomenlinna sea fortress. Plenty of interesting and picturesque sights for a full day visit. A must see!
