What it is: A public pool It's free to DC residents -- just don’t forget to pack your driver’s license in your pool bag. Non-residents can fill out an online pool pass form and pay a small fee. Banneker is quite an expansive public pool with diving boards, lap lanes, and an occasional "adult swim". Plus, people on Yelp can’t shut up about the "great people watching".

DC has public pools available for free for residents throughout the summer. As a non-resident you are still able to use the pool for $4.00 entry fee. Great place to cool off and beat the DC summer heat. It has full locker room facilities and tables and loungers are available poolside.
