If you appreciate/love frogs, turtles, boas & monitors, this is the largest reptile store west of the Mississippi. It has been an East Bay institution since 1970.

The East Bay Vivarium is one of the largest reptile specialty stores in the Nation. They offer the most diverse selection of reptiles in the U.S. with quality service and experience. Their inventory includes snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, tarantulas, supplies and gifts. It is a small shop, but super fun for kids who love to look at reptiles and snakes. Located 1 block from the charming 4th Street shopping area, filled with boutique shops, coffee shops and restaurants of all sorts.

Largest vivarium in the US. Lots of interesting things to see, although you could get a bit sad for the living things being held captives.
