One of many beautiful lochs situated in the Trossachs National Park. Take a drive from Stirling, through Callander and out towards Killin abd the Falls of Dochart for lunch at the local pub or smokehouse.

Loch Lubnaig is a small but stunningly located stretch of freshwater nestling between two striking mountains, Ben Ledi and Benvane to the south-west and Ben Vorlich to the north-east. A bird’s eye view of the loch (or take look on a map), reveals how it came by its name, for Lùbnaig means crooked in Gaelic.

Peaceful and beautiful but be warned on sunny days unless you go early you will not get parked here so please choose another local loch there are loads, if in doubt just ask. It is also a lovely walk here, you would park at yhe meadows car park and follow the cycle track it will take a couple of hours but very easy and very beautiful.
