Ten Thousand Villages is one of Canada's nonprofit, non-governmental, "Fair Trade" Organizations designed not to maximize profits but to benefit artisans based in low income countries. They market items that are hand made, providing consumers with beautifully unique products that have been fairly purchased from sustainable sources. I love the jewellrey, pottery, table cloths, hand made cards, wood work, and varieties of coffee....many great gift options here! (and if you let them know you're purchasing a gift they'll package it beautifully)
