Waianapanapa State Park which has a spectacular black sand beach and caves to explore. The views are breathtaking, there are grounds to picnic or BBQ and an excellent location to capture an epic family photo. No lifeguard on duty.
Beautiful.. a drive filled with stunning views of cliffs, waterfalls, giant magical trees, and oceans. Don't for get to stop @ coconut glens for some home maid vegan ice cream or Keanae Peninsula for aunti Sandy's original banana bread.
go here first thing in the morning. beet the tour buses which arrive around 10 am. It's a mad house by noon. But if your there in the morning, you'll have the place all to your self.
