There are two "Putah Creek parking lots" on either end-- you can start on the one opposite of the Reserve (off Levee Rd) to have an easy hiking path along Putah Creek towards the other end. My favorite spot along the creek is nearest the lot by the Reserve entrance, though. Feel free to take a dip in creek! The creek is usually very shallow and not too cold.
