Nice day beach trip to secluded pristine beach and small museum light house. Toll road over bridge and small fee to use park. Water is very clear-saw our first manatees here 10 feet off shore.
Part of a small chain of barrier islands, there's a multitude of activities and learning experiences in the park. There is a small entrance fee for the park as well as a toll to get onto the island.
Hard to beat having a private beach, but if you are staying for a while and want to get out and about and see something different, this State Park with it’s white sandy beaches offers up something slightly different. There are actually a number of beaches on this island, but this is our favourite!
