From the boat house on the banks of Esrum Sø you have the opportunity to rent canoes. Esrum Sø is Denmark's second largest lake and the obvious choice for canoeing and kayaking tours of up to 3 days of camping and overnight stays in the open. There is good space, calm and not nearly as many people as you experience closer to Copenhagen. Esrum Sø offers nature experiences for children and adults alike. There are three free pitches at the lake shore and a wide range of picnic areas with tables, benches, covered fireplaces and free wood burning. There is a wonderful birdlife and wildlife, good fishing opportunities. Great ice cream house next door as well as Fredensborg Castle's garden.
