In Presidio of San Francisco park, Lovers' Lane Trail is a 0.6-mile-long walking trail. Built in the 18th century, this lane was previously used by Spanish soldiers as a shortcut. Outdoor enthusiasts can walk along this tree-lined trail and spot a variety of birds that visit this park. Other interesting trails and attractions that the visitors can explore in the area are Mountain Lake Trail, Tennessee Hollow Trial, Wood Line and the late-19th century footbridge.

This is a hiking trail that will also lead to a beautiful art installation rendered by famed artist, Andy Goldsworthy (The Wood Line). Also note that there is a plethora of hiking trails in Presidio, not limited to what was suggested above. Presidio is THE place to hike (due to its accessibility) if you are seeking an escape from the city life.
