This is a great museum which focuses on the understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of the Cherokee Indians in Eastern Tennessee, particularly the life and contributions of Sequoyah, who is credited with perfecting the system for reading and writing the Cherokee language.
This great little museum has a lot about Cherokee history and how he created the Cherokee alphabet.
hiking trails are lovely and the museum is steeped in native American history
