If you love paddling this is the place to check out! Wednesday evenings in the summer the Paddler's co-op hosts community kayak nights from 5:30pm-8:00pm. Lots of great programs for kids too, worth exploring further...

These folks are great, and are on a wonderful spot on a great paddling river, just below the rapids I indicated in the guidebook. They have a few canoes for rent, and they are right on the water so no need to drive. Easy to get to, just before you reach Palmer Rapids, which has a handy general store!
