Home to 'Goats on the Roof' this market is a bustling attraction in the summer. A must see. Many eclectic shops, shopping with local and international flair and great eateries. Closed for a few months in the winter. Be sure to check ahead.

It's some local colour with a market and shops with a good selection of food and gift items--great deli and bakery! Great Italian restaurant onsite called Cuckoos!

If you have time to drive to Nanaimo (1 hour) and beyond (another 1/2 hour), a visit to Coombs Country Market with its "Goats on the Roof" is a fun day out. You can combine this trip with a visit to Cathedral Grove, a park with some of the largest old growth Cedar and Douglas Fir trees in Canada. On the way back, maybe a visit to the wonderful beach at Parksville, or the little town of Qualicum Beach.

You don't want to miss the famous goats on the roof ! Also the international market, ice cream shop & doughnut shop :)

Coombs Country Market is a short 25 minute drive from Port Alberni and has many wonderful shops, restaurants and the famous Goats on the roof in the summer!
