Boca the yumuri will surprise you for the beauty of the environment which surround the green spot It is a place which names goes back of the Taino indians ,according to the legend ,during the conquest ,the Spaniards decided to colonize the area because they had heard about the wealth of the place .The rebellion led to mistreatments ,tortures and deaths which led the Indians towards the suicide for this ,they threw themselves from the highest hills jelling / ya mori {I have died }in English .which has arrive to the present identifying the city

Por su exuberante belleza natural y el disfrute del paseo en bote por el cañón del rio Yumurí, además de sus rica historia y leyenda así como Restaurante de comida criolla.

Boca de Yumurí te sorprenderá por la belleza del entorno que rodea al verde paraje, en Cuba. Se trata de un lugar cuyo nombre se remonta a la época de los indios taínos. Cuenta la leyenda que durante la conquista, los españoles decidieron colonizar la zona porque habían oído sobre las riquezas del lugar. La rebelión dio lugar a maltratos, torturas y muertes que conducía a los indios al suicidio. Para ello, se lanzaban desde altas colinas al grito de “¡Ya morí!”, que ha llegado hasta la actualidad identificando a la localidad y a sus habitantes. Exelente sitio donde se combina el rio con el mar entre dos cañone lleno de fuerte vegetacion que le dan un colorido muy especial ademas acompañado de un lindo paseo en varca por el rio hasta una pequeña islita.
