The Man From Snowy River Museum is 4km away, in Corryong, and is one of the best examples of a community run museum in Australia with many Nationally significant items in the vast collection.

The Museum has an extensive collection of local historic families such as former Attorney General to Victoria, Thomas Mitchell and his wife Elyne, author of 'The Silver Brumby' series. Listen to former POW Jim Simpson tell his remarkable story and view his iconic hand knitted rug (that he made as a POW) featuring the map of Australia. In the grounds outside the main building you will find Jarvis Cottage, an old school, blacksmiths shed, jail house and lock-up, . There are numerous old tools, farming equipment, horse carts and wagons.
