"I have always been fascinated by the Scopes Monkey Trial and its implications with regard to science and faith. I had never visited Dayton until last month, when we went to the Scopes Festival and attended the excellent play “Front Page News.” The little Museum is great; the guides were especially helpful and insightful."

History buffs and inquiring learners will love to get a glimpse of the center of action for the trial of the era, just a mile down Market Street. In fact, this makes for a great destination for a walk through the historic streets to take in each historical location along the way. There are many, so this could take a while! Grab a fresh bite at the Farmers Market along the way or settle in to enjoy a coffee or ice cream at any of the quaint shops along also along Market Street.
