If you look up grand performances at the California Plaza, you will see a schedule of outdoor performances that are typically free in a beautiful downtown la night setting. Performances are usually from June to September.

Great plaza to just hang out, grab a bite to eat, ride the Angels Flight Trolley Cars...spectacular summer outdoor concerts...

They have free concerts on the weekends during summer and early fall. You can bring in your own food and drink. Take the historic trolly down the hillside on the east side of the plaza.

Dine or enjoy the view at the beautiful watercourts of California Plaza, host of the Grand Performances, which consists of free music, movies, and dance performances every weekend til the end of Sept.
