The river goes absolutely insane here, and you'll frequently see entire Douglas Firs spinning around in the eddy formed by a granite outcropping or racing down the river towards the bend.

Right across Highway 2, about a quarter mile away. Complete with parking, bathrooms, and picnic areas. This is a great place to access the river. The deep waters, slow moving current, and sandy beaches at Big Eddy Park make for one of the Skykomish River's best swimming holes.
