It the second best beach on the island. This is a very long sandy beach (Chrysi Akti and Chrysi Ammoudia) It’s actually the same beach ( on the right and left side of the beach) . So you should anyway go to Golden beach when you come to the island. Here the water is shallow so you can play in the sea or if you are coming with kids this beach is the best for them. You will find many restaurants and beach bars here to have a drink or eat something. Tip: most of beach bars here charge you about 7€ for a set of two sun beds and an umbrella but there’s also free space to bring your own beach equipment if you want.

Walk through the beach road, then "climp" to Vigli and walk to the little fishermen port. Interesting sites and characteristic fishermen cottages.

H Χρυσή Αμμουδιά ή διαφορετικά Σκάλα Παναγίας ή ακόμα και Αυλάκια είναι η μεγαλύτερη παραλία της Θάσου αποτελώντας ταυτόχρονα την πιο δημοφιλή και πιο όμορφη παραλία του νησιού. Βρίσκεται στην ανατολική ακτή της Θάσου και απέχει 2 χλμ απο την Σκάλα Ποταμιάς. Στα αριστερά και δεξιά άκρα της Χρυσής Αμμουδιάς βρίσκονται οι δύο χαρακτηριστικοί γραφικοί κόλποι, που αποτελούν αντίστοιχα τις σκάλες των χωριών της Παναγίας και της Ποταμιάς. Chrysi Ammoudia or otherwise Skala Panagia or even Avlakia is the largest beach of Thassos, being at the same time the most popular and most beautiful beach of the island. It is located on the east coast of Thassos and is 2 km from Skala Potamias. At the left and right ends of Chrysi Ammoudia are the two characteristic picturesque bays, which are respectively the stairs of the villages of Panagia and Potamia.
