Great vantage of Hoover Dam and Colorado River. Free to park & walk across. Parking on Nevada side
A well-known spot worth a visit, don't forget to walk out on the nearby bridge that spans Colorado for a petrifying (and free) view. Combine with a trip to downtown Boulder City or the Nelson Ghost town for a fun easy day out.
The bridge is located between Arizona and Nevada. You can walk across the bridge and catch some magnificent views of the Hoover Dam and the Colorado River. A must see when time permits!
Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
