Winter sports fans will enjoy the world-class downhill and cross country skiing at Bear Valley, only a 40 minute drive east on Highway 4. You’ll also find snowmobiling and snowplay there.

Creekside Restaurant offers a romantic place for formal dining while Sky High Pizza is great for family dining. There's also a coffee shop, bar and large open lounge with fireplace.

There is a pizza place (Sky High Pizza) , Creekside Dining, and Grizzly Bar in Bear Valley. There is also a general store that has breakfast and lunch. These are small venues when you don't feel like cooking.
