These are our favorite tacos in San Diego proper! They have classic tacos, like carnitas and carne asada, along with fusion items like the California (with fries...a San Diego favorite!) The margaritas are delicious --kiwi is a personal favorite. This is a great choice for a casual meal. If you can get a spot at the bar, the four brothers who own the place, will keep you entertained!

Mexican: Our go-to, local taco place. Creative, flavorful tacos and casual atmosphere. The cochinitas pibil tacos (pork, with pickled red onions and spicy habanero sauce) is unbelievably good. 3827 5th Ave., SD (Hillcrest).
