In Lake Likstammen, one of Sörmland's clearest lakes, is Utnäsets nature reserve. The reserve consists of a mighty headland with high botanical and geological values. A special parking space for visitors is located 250 meters north of the farm Lundby. A marked hiking trail, 1.5 km long, departs from the parking lot and leads into the reserve.

Another nearby nature reserve on 'Likstammen' with a lovely walk through a spooky forest, up to the ancient remains of a small settlement on top of the cliffs (great view, 'The Viking Cathedral' we call it & imagine viking longboats rolling out of the fog), OR a fun creep along the bottom of the cliffs for braver kids/adults), down the other side, through wilder forest, eventually coming to the 'näs' or nose that sticks out into Likstammen lake & offers more wonderful views & picnic/swimming opportunities. The walking is probably a bit much for smaller kids unless they're used to it.....DEFINITELY BRING SNACKS/PICNIC & WATER (we drink from the lake, Likstammen is the cleanest in the region with no agriculture, 'summer villages' of second homes or public bathing places, pristine Södermanland paradise! See if you can spot the cave/overhang amongst the boulders a short way after the cliffs, a good spot to take shelter if it rains/snows!
