The tour lasts for about an hour, and you get to witness and learn about different species of turtle, and see them at various stages of their lives. All proceeds and donations go to the maintenance and improvement of the Sanctuary, so all money spent here is for a great cause.

One of finest tourist and volunteer attraction in down south. Hikkaduwa also one of premier place for laying eggs by Turtle. There are many places located on beach which implements turtle conservation programs. Also volunteer opportunities available in this place it is a great pleasure to help them to carry on this great conservation projects not even that in Sri Lanka recorded only 05 variety of turtles and their habitats located around southern province. Turtle conservation programs secure the eggs and protect them until release to the sea. It is a great experience to visit sea turtle conservation program and they demonstrate about the whole process.
