another must visit. take a stroll along this 2.5km stretch of pristine promenade. start in the southern end at durban view road where you can safely park your car. the promenade terminates in a beautiful coastal.forest walk along umhlanga lagoon. plenty of lovely swimming spots along this stretch as well as food outlets. note no bicycles on this promenade.

Early morning or evening walks along the Umhlanga Promenade, past the iconic Umhlanga Lighthouse, often keeping pace with schools of Dolphin in the ocean, are a favourite pastime with overseas and local visitors.
